Calibration of ORWO-UV2 plates for mass- and energy-analysis
Abstract
Results are presented of calibration measurements of ORWO UV2-type emulsions used for ion detection in the Thomson-type mass- and energy-spectrometer. The emulsions are exposed to irradiation by H(+) and D(+) ions with an energy ranging from 10 keV to 30 keV. The characteristic curves and the emulsion sensitivities are determined in a given energy range. An analytical description of the curves is presented on the basis of the semiempirical Hull equation.
