Tolerance analysis of cascaded structures
Abstract
A scheme is explored for the tolerance analysis of cascaded networks. It is based on a recent approach that efficiently performs response evaluation along with simultaneous and arbitrary large-change sensitivity evaluation. An algorithm is presented for evaluating the response and its sensitivities at the vortices of a tolerance region. A cascaded seven-section filter is used as an example, and a comparison between the new scheme and the conventional approach (re-analyzing the circuit at every vertex) shows a substantial saving in computational effort with the new approach.
