Microwave theory of Josephson oscillators
Abstract
A resistively shunted junction model and its RF response are discussed. A circuit theory appropriate to an experimental apparatus which consists of an X-band coaxial resonator incorporating a Josephson point contact is presented. The theory is then expanded to include injection-locking phenomena. Theoretical expectations are compared with experimentally measured oscillator amplitude variations within a lock range and free running output power.
