Shortwave transmission in a discontinuous midlatitude around-the-world path
Abstract
The dependence is investigated of radiation absorption, signal propagation time, and ionograms of oblique sounding on the radiowave frequency and range in a round-the-world path with a discontinuous propagation of radiowaves through the F-layer of the ionosphere. The adiabatic invariant method was used based on an analytical model of the ionosphere; it was shown that the calculated ionograms of oblique sounding agree with the experimental data.
