On a connection of geomagnetic activity, velocity of the solar wind and irregularity of the daily rotation of the earth.
Abstract
The relation between observed solar wind velocity and the am geomagnetic index is used to determine average-yearly values of solar wind velocity outside the 20th solar cycle. Reconstructed variations of solar wind velocity are correlated with solar-related variations of the length of the winter day. It is shown that a correlation is found only at frequencies below the frequency of the 11-year cycle.
