Application of quaternion functions for solving approximate fluid flow equations
Abstract
An approach using monogen quaternion functions is developed for solving the Stokes equations of incompressible flow. It is shown that the velocity distribution of Stokes flow can be determined by solving the Laplace equation, the Poisson equation, and four scalar equations.
