Study of the behavior of an absorption heat pump in the partial loading mode
Abstract
After a recall on the principle of an absorption heat pump, the working under partial loading has been considered with three types of control: control of the power supplied to the separator, the same control involving in addition a modulating valve with three paths in order to regulate the flow rate of the solution at the entrance of the separator, and finally control of the power supplied to the separator together with the flow rate of the circulating solution. The authors present the analysis and the simulation of the absorption heat pump. The obtained results show that the operating conditions and the efficiency coefficient of the heat pump practically do not vary whatever the load. However, in the present example, the two first types of control limit the working of the heat pump under partial loading to 60 percent of the maximum load while the last type of control allow.
