Monolithic integrated filters in CTD-technology. II
Abstract
The realization of filter structures using charge-transfer devices is discussed, and the structures of recursive and transversal CTD filters are examined, presenting various methods of implementation. The most important methods, the split-electrode, and the external weightings, are analyzed and compared. Attention is given to the interfacing effects, problems of technology, and filter characteristics. Four noise sources are examined, i.e., input, dark current, interface state trapping and clock line reset. The application of CCD-transversal filters in spectral analysis and microprocessor control is also discussed.
