Spherical near-field testing of spacecraft antennas
Abstract
The paper describes an experimental, spherical near-field antenna test facility at the Technical University of Denmark, which has already been used for measurements on one of the Eurobeam antennas of ESA's OTS communications satellite. Computer simulations of the influence of measurement errors have also been made. The results, some of which are presented here, indicate that spherical near-field testing is an accurate and promising method for the study of spacecraft antennas.
