ISPM - The mission to the poles of the sun-scientific objectives
Abstract
The international solar polar mission is described. The ESA and NASA payloads are outlined. Consideration is given to an earth-to-Jupiter ecliptic trajectory, Jupiter encounter and swing-by phase, and out-of-ecliptic and solar pole mission phase. It is intended to start the journey during a ten days launch window in 1983.
