Space applications of superconductivity - Instrumentation for gravitational and related studies
Abstract
Superconducting instruments for gravitational studies and their state of development are discussed. Consideration is given to accelerometers, gravimeters, superconducting gyroscopes, and inertial guidance and navigation systems. This is followed by discussion of applications to tests of gravitational theories, determination of elastic properties of planets, and navigation.
