High resolution spectroscopy in supersonic nozzle beams: The Rb 2 B 1Π uX 1Σ +g band system
Abstract
By observing the single-mode dye laser induced fluorescence (LIF) of rubidium dimers from a supersonic nozzle beam we have analyzed the complex B 1Π uX 1Σ +g band system. The high resolution available with combined molecular beam and spectroscopic techniques (⩽0.001 cm -1) allows us to derive highly precise information for these states. In addition to Te = 14665.447 ± 0.011 cm -1, the following constants are determined (given for 85Rb 2 with 3σ uncertainty in parentheses):
