Optical correlator: a device based on correlated random partial diffusers
Abstract
The paper deals with an optical correlation technique based on mutual correlation properties of two random partial diffusers. It is intended to utilize this method for applications such as the comparison of transparent masks or for the more general problems of character recognition.
