The visible fluorescence dynamics of BCl3 induced by high-power infrared laser radiation
Abstract
The paper describes a variety of visible fluorescent processes in pure BCl3 gas irradiated with TEA CO2 laser radiation. The space, time, and spectrum distribution of visible fluorescence and their dependence on laser energy, the pressure of BCl3 gas, and other parameters are measured. The visible fluorescent processes in BCl3 gas are discussed by using a simplified dynamic collision model. The analysical expressions for equivalent vibrational temperature and visible fluorescence intensity are obtained. The calculated values agree with the experimental results.
