The absolute magnitude of the Hg-Mn stars.
Abstract
The absolute magnitude of the Hg-Mn stars has been determined using statistical, photometric, spectroscopic, and cluster parallaxes. The results of all four procedures are in excellent agreement and give an average absolute magnitude of 0.6m plus or minus 0.4m, which locates these objects above the main sequence, in agreement with spectroscopic results.
