Influence of turbulent structure on mass transfer at a solid surface
Abstract
The structure of a turbulent velocity field close to a wall is considered. The structural information is used for predicting properties of a turbulent concentration field for mass transfer at large Schmidt numbers. A regular eddy model is employed to calculate a fluctuating concentration field that occurs when the fluid is transferring mass to a wall.
