Near-wall turbulence with strong injections under different conditions
Abstract
The paper considers flow characteristics in the immediate vicinity of a wall with strong injections under various gasdynamic and thermophysical conditions. The analysis involves both previously reported and new results. Attention is given to the distribution of the rms velocity pulsations across the boundary layer, to the blowoff layer, and to the influence of various factors such as nonisothermal and nonuniform injection, longitudinal pressure gradient, external flow pulsations, and to the rough surface on the blowoff layer. Also discussed are the problems concerning the stability of the blowoff layer and the disturbances which may destroy it.
