Aries I, Aries II, HPTEM, and H.O.E. - A family of flight controlled rockets
Abstract
Because the Aries family of vehicles has such a large payload capacity and wide range of performance characteristics, it must be considered as a promising compliment to the Shuttle program. Large science payloads ultimately scheduled for Shuttle could be pretested or calibrated in relatively inexpensive Aries flights. In the present paper, the configurations, performance, and motor characteristics are discussed.
