In the present paper some general algorithms, helpful in designing disk and plate-type radiometers, are developed on the basis of a generalized equation describing the thermal state of a receiver surface and some results of an analysis of the theory and modern designs of wideband large-angle radiometers. Some useful applications of the generalized theory in radiometer design and calibration are examined.
