Models for thyristors and diode in digital simulations
Abstract
Models of diodes and thyristors are presented which are suitable for use in digital simulations of switching power converters and power conversion systems. The reverse recovery transient is accurately modeled for both devices while nonessential features, such as diode turn-on transients and thyristor gate cathode characteristics, are omitted to reduce model complexity and to economize on computer use. The parametric bases are derived from published data.
