Handbook of optical holography
Abstract
This ten-chapter handbook deals with various important aspects of optical holography. Ten major areas are considered: (1) introduction to optical holography; (2) background; (3) classification of holograms; (4) major hologram types; (5) hologram variations; (6) image formation; (7) cardinal points and principal rays for holography; (8) equipment and procedures; (9) special problems; and (10) application areas. Topics of interest include integral transforms, description of a hologram, Fraunhofer holograms, local reference beam holograms, estimation of image brightness, the holographic ray-tracing equations, holographic systems, hologram copying, and holographic portraiture.
