High energy beam deposition in CO/He and Ar/Kr/F2 gas mixtures
Abstract
As part of a program directed toward direct nuclear pumped (DNP) laser development, a detailed numerical model characterizing high energy electron and proton beam-pumped laser chemistry has been assembled. In this paper an outline of the codes are presented together with preliminary calculations on the laser systems CO/He and Ar/Kr/F2. Beam deposition and the subsequent transient chemistry are discussed in the context of potential DNP laser systems.
