Short pulse propagation in the submillimeter region
Abstract
The potential of high intensity pulses, in particular so-called zero-pi pulses, is investigated for transmission of submillimeter waves through the atmosphere. In the theoretical part of the paper the inverse scattering method is applied. A numerical investigation of pulse propagation in the presence of loss is made. The report contains many computer plots which aid in the physical understanding of nonlinear propagation.
