High speed photography in ballistics
Abstract
A brief history of high speed photography in ballistics research is presented. The laser pulse photography, image converter cameras, and cine radiography are particularly important, but established methods like medium speed cine, flash and spark photography are used in general work. Data recording electronic methods are growing in number and complexity, and in some areas have taken over from photography. It is concluded that photography is a powerful tool for ballistics research and will continue so for a long time.
