Results of an attitude determination flight experiment
Abstract
This paper documents the results of a 1974 flight experiment (Simcox et al., 1974). The experiment's primary objective was to assess the performance of a limb tracker horizon sensor. Flight hardware included a conical scan horizon sensor, two star trackers, a three axis gyro package as well as the new horizon sensor. Selected experimental results, along with samples of raw flight data, are presented.
