Comparison and selection of techniques for measuring EM radiated emissions and susceptibility of large equipment
Abstract
The paper presents a review of testing techniques used primarily for radiated EMI/EMC measurements. Each technique is assessed with respect to operational and measurement parameters. Six techniques were selected as being optimum for particular applications: open-field testing, shielded anechoic chamber, parallel plate transmission inside a shielded enclosure, absorber loaded TEM cell, reverberating enclosure, and Helmholtz coils.
