Deflagration wave formed by ion beam. Part 1: In slab target
Abstract
Structures of deflagration waves in slab targets under exposure to ion beams are analyzed for two cases of with and without heat tranfer. The structure of the deflagration wave depends on the two parameters, number density and velocity, of the ion beam. The heat conductivity effects on the wave strength are small but have a significant effect on the wave structure, especially for the cases of small beam velocities. The adiabatic compression of the target is studied by using the ion beam.
