A transformation concept for the calculation of turbulent compressible boundary layers
Abstract
Based on the friction coefficient c sub f transformation of Van Driest and successfully used expressions for the incompressible turbulent velocity profile, a method is introduced to formulate a turbulent compressible velocity profile. In connection with the compressible integral relations of the boundary layer theory, a possibility to calculate the turbulent compressible boundary-layer directly is presented.
