The Plessey AR3D frequency scanning, three-dimensional radar
Abstract
The signal processing of a production three-dimensional defence radar system is described. The techniques used include analog, digital, and SAW filters. Consideration is given to signal processing requirements, details of a receiving signal path, and target detection. Plot extraction, moving target indication, generation of transmitted frequency sweep, and sidelobe blanking are outlined.
