Numerical solution of the synthesis problem for a radiating element
Abstract
In the present paper, a solution of a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind is used as a basis to construct an algorithm for calculating the current distribution (function) along a linear vibrator from its given radiation pattern. The synthesis problem is formulated by a variational method. The results of calculations for two radiation patterns are examined. One radiation pattern is described by smooth functions (characteristic of a linear vibrator); the other is described by piecewisecontinuous functions.
