Methods in electromagnetic wave propagation
Abstract
Various aspects of both functional analysis and numerical analysis are considered. Propagation in waveguides is discussed including the problem of finding the eigenvalues of an operator, a direct numerical attack via difference equations, and variational methods. Error analysis of variational methods, associated integral equations, and finite elements are covered. The radiation and scattering of waves by wire and solid antenna are analyzed.
