Steady motion of a viscous drop taking into account its deformation
Abstract
A numerical algorithm is formulated for steady axisymmetric motion of a viscous incompressible drop in the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid. The analysis is carried out for moderate drop velocities, a Reynolds number range of 1-100, different surface tensions, and different ratios of viscosity inside and outside the drop. Various cases of this flow are examined taking into account drop deformation.
