The obvious and not so obvious benefits of in-circuit testing
Abstract
The advantages of in-circuit testing (ITC) used for checking printed circuit board assemblies are discussed. Emphasis is placed on less obvious benefits of ITC. Consideration is given to precision of product, pre- and postconditioning tests, test planning, controlled learning times for the introduction of new products, preproduction build standard verification, and general morale improvement.
