Excitation of stimulated emission from organic molecules by excimer-laser radiation
Abstract
The paper discusses optimal lasing parameters of a pulsed electrodischarge excimer XeCl laser with halogen carriers CHCl3, CF2Cl2, and CCl4. Lasing parameters in the ultraviolet region of the spectrum of polyphenylenes, aryloxazols, mono- and di-arylbenzoxazols are compared. Determination of pump and lasing wavelength and Stokes losses are considered. It is noted that the use of the lasing wavelength of 308 nm makes it possible to decrease Stokes losses and to improve the thermal properties of the active medium in the middle ultraviolet region of the spectrum and to expand the group of solvents used.
