Measurement of the matrix elements of the dipole moments of electron transitions of the SiF molecule
Abstract
Emission and absorption spectroscopy were used to study electron transition moments of the SiF molecule behind a reflected shock wave in an SiF4-Ar mixture, for the purpose of determining transition probabilities and with application to raising the power output of SiF lasers. Consideration was given to the A(2)Sigma-X(2)Pi and B(2)Sigma-X(2)Pi transitions.
