Two-dimensional nozzle and jet flows of a multiphase mixture
Abstract
A numerical procedure is proposed for analyzing two-dimensional supersonic (and steady axisymmetric) flows of a gas suspension with nondeformable spherical particles, making allowance for the action of the particles on the gas. The coefficients of gas/particle interaction at an arbitrary Knudsen number (constructed with respect to the particle diameter) are determined from Sherman's interpolation formulas which pass asymptotically to the corresponding expressions for nonseparated and molecular flows.
