Computer-aided mesh generation by means of Coons' image
Abstract
The finite element method can be used to minimize the manual expenditure for mesh generation. The possibilities which a computer-aided mesh generation offers on the basis of Coons' image (1964) are discussed. Selected examples are considered, including mesh generation in flat surfaces and in three-dimensional bodies.
