Contribution to the nonlinear theory of electron beam/plasma resonator interaction
Abstract
A nonlinear theory is developed for the excitation of regular plasma oscillations in the interaction between a charged particle beam and a plasma resonator. The influence of mode unlocking on the amplitude of the excited oscillation field is taken into consideration. The beam energy losses by oscillation are accounted for by introducing dissipative terms into the field equation.
