Thermodynamic properties of three-component systems of alkali metals at high temperatures
Abstract
The current status of research on the thermodynamic properties of liquid three-component alloys of the alkali metals is considered. Both experimental and computational methods for obtaining the excess and absolute thermodynamic characteristics are analyzed. Particular attention is given to the properties of a triple eutectic mixture Na-K-Cs in a wide range of temperatures, this mixture is one of the most promising working media in new power-generating plants. Data were obtained on the thermodynamic properties of the Na-K-Cs system (enthalpy, heat capacity, and the excess functions, the heat of mixing and excess heat capacity) in a wide range of temperatures.
