The earthmoonsun disturbing function in satellite orbit dynamics.
Abstract
The force function of the earthmoonsun system is divided into the part due to spherically symmetric components of the gravitational fields and the part due to disturbances. The disturbing functions are described in terms of the Stokes constants. Use is made of the force function for two general bodies which contains only the Stokes constants of both bodies and the quantities defining the mutual positions of their ellipsoids of inertia. The solution for the earthmoon system is expressed with terms up to degree four.
