Concerning temperature distribution in the earth's interior
Abstract
Experimental data on the depth distribution of electroconductivity in the earth's mantle, obtained by magnetotelluric sounding, are compared with theoretical results obtained with a temperature to 1200-1500 C. This model is found to be inadequate to explain the experimental data; instead, a model of convective flows in the earth's interior is proposed.
