Cryogenic system of the 390 kg gravitational detector
Abstract
The basic operating principles of a Weber type gravitational antenna are briefly described, along with the problems of developing a continuously operating cryogenic cooling system. The aluminum bar antenna with a piezoelectric ceramic transducer are maintained at liquid helium temperature.
