Comparison of flying compacitor bridge circuits and inductor-convertor bridge circuits for the transfer of energy between superconducting coils
Abstract
The design criteria for flying capacitor bridge circuits and inductor convertor bridge circuits were compared for similar energy transfer requirements. It is shown that the capacitive energy is proportional to the ratio of minimum commutation time versus energy transfer time.
