A device for tracking the fundamental frequency of speech and its application in the assessment of strain in pilots and air traffic controllers
Abstract
The use of speech signals for assessing physiological and psychological changes resulting from strain in pilots and air traffic controllers is discussed. A device is described which tracks the fundamental frequency of the speech signal in order to quantify changes in the parameter due to strain is described.
