Boundary layers in oscillating flow
Abstract
The state of the art in the field of unsteady boundary layers is reviewed, beginning with some fundamental results obtained on oscillating laminar boundary layers. Experimental and theoretical progress in flows which are periodic in the mean, the external velocity varying about a zero or non-zero mean value, are emphasized.
