Evaluation of Lagrangian, Eulerian, arbitary Lagrangian-Eulerian methods for fluid-structure interaction problems in HCDA analysis
Abstract
The analysis of fluid-structure interaction involved the calculation of both fluid transient and structure dynamics. In the structural analysis, Lagrangian meshes were used exclusively, whereas for the fluid transient, Lagrangian, Eulerian, and arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian meshes were used. An evaluation on these three types of meshes is presented with emphasis on the applicability of the method in analyzing fluid-structure interaction problems in hypothetical core disruptive accident analysis.
