Holographic contouring of the surface topography and study of the contact rigidity of rough surfaces
Abstract
An investigation carried out using the immersion method of holographic contouring is reported. When properly adjusted this method allows the construction of contour maps of the surfaces with contour intervals ranging from 1 micron to several millimeters. Measurements were carried out on metal surfaces and silicone rubber models.
