Unsteady aerothermodynamics modeling
Abstract
A numerical method is developed for the modeling of time dependent aerothermodynamic problems. The approach is based on a formulation, integral for space and differential for time, of balance equations for time variable or time invariant cells of any scale. The physical aspect of the model assures great flexibility of utilization and the introduction of different models. Application examples are presented for one or two phase one dimensional flows (biliquid rocket engines) and two dimensional flows with recirculation zones.
