Optimization of reception channels under conditions of quasi-pulsed radio noise
Abstract
The paper considers the accuracy with which a weak signal can be detected on a background of quasi-pulsed manmade and atmospheric noise. The efficiencies of an optimal receiver and of a circuit incorporating a wideband limiter and a narrowband filter are compared; the limiter-filter circuit is found to be more efficient.
