Synthesis of linear antenna arrays with a prescribed amplitude pattern
Abstract
A nonlinear integral equation, used in the synthesis of linear arrays from a given amplitude pattern, is analyzed. An analytical approach is taken to finding a global extremum. Transcendental equations are obtained for the first two points of branching; numerical results are obtained for two amplitude patterns.
